I'm getting better at this. I scanned these photos in a while ago... and then couldn't find them on the computer. No rude comments please. I had a little more time to search today and found them! Enjoy!
We went as a family "around the lake" in April because Keith was preaching at a church in Detroit. We decided it would be a great time to visit Grandma Green since she has never met Karissa. We had a wonderful time with her. She may be 90 but she still cooks just as well as she did. The girls really enjoyed meeting her again. I'm not sure she'd admit this, but I think she quite enjoyed having them around, too. I might add here that I have new admiration for Dad and Mom being able to make that trip around the lake with we Hawk kids in tow... all without the modern technology of DVDs and such to entertain us! Wow. That's all I can say. Wow.
On our way to Detroit we stopped in Gaylord. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to find Nowack Road, but we did. A lot has changed in Gaylord itself... but Nowack Road was eerily the same. It has been 25 years and everything looks EXACTLY as I remembered it. Here's a picture of the little house on Nowack Road. Funny how I remember it being a lot bigger than that. I'm sure Mom remembers just how small it really was with 5 children living there!
