We got into the van today and Karissa immediately (and quite excitedly) asked if I could put
"Stomp on Doors" on the CD player.
After some clarification from her sisters I discovered she was asking for the song "His Love Endures Forever". To her credit... if you listen to the Michael W. Smith worship CD it really does sound like he says "stomp on door forever"... now that I know to listen for it. I'm still not sure if she thought that was what he was really saying or if she simply heard it as a mistake and thought it was funny. Nevertheless, I got a good chuckle out of it!
Here's another one from Kailyn.
Kailyn's been trying to be very helpful lately so she came into the kitchen the other day and announced that she wanted me to teach her how to cook. I told her I'd love to do that ("love" and "cook" don't usually enter the same sentence with me... although I don't hate to cook either....). I said if I taught her how to cook then I wouldn't have to do it any more and I could have the evening off.
Without missing a beat (and not really smiling) she said, "No, you'd get my job. You have to set the table."

One of my favorite stories of Mikayla is when she asked us to turn on "Gentlemen Cheese." It took us quite a while to realize she wanted to listen to "Sheltering Trees."
We also still sing "There is no God like Jebobah" thanks to Brice.
Funny, Funny kids!
It's not a song, but Elaine still wants to watch the "Barbie Dihareas" (Diaries)
Oh yeah . . .and she's 6
