Hot Chocolate Anyone!

AHHH Yes, Winter will soon be here. And with the imminent return of the crisp cold air to the Wisconsin Heartand, can't you just smell the warm wafting aroma of Hot Chocolate?
Doesn't it just remind you of a Christmas card moment?
A very similar event happened today. Ruth came downstairs to an aroma with a mixture of charcoal, ash and smoke as she entered the living room.
Obviously concerned, she entered the kitchen to the following site:
Our mild mannered child Aaron has developed a love for hot chocolate, and since he is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
compliant, he has never been a concern for us.
OK really! So he is an observer, and has watched how the hot chocolate was made, as well as where to make it.
When Ruth turned off the timer on the microwave, there were still 98 minutes remaining.

I am more amused by how proud he was of his concoction . . .

If this happened Wednesday morning, it would explain his contribution to the "chaos" when he came over on Wednesday to play with "My Owen". . . stay tuned for a future post . . .

My prayers are with you and Ruth.

Ask Aaron if I can have that recipe for the family recipe book. We could even name the recipe after him... Aaron's Crispy Cocoa.

Love it... errrr.... so sorry.

I'm going to start a specific category for posts for Aaron alone. Yes, he seems very proud of his accomplishment. Tina,I can only imagine what those two got into yesterday, what with Aaron having such "My Owen" withdrawal. Kerry, for the recipe, you need:

1 wine glass

14 scoops of hot chocolate mix (whether or not it actually gets into the glass is negotiable.

1-2 oz. of tap water, not really a concrete number

Randomly push numbers on the microwave, preferably over shooting at least 100 minutes.

Stop microwave at random point.

Wait 4-8 hours for fire to extinguish and plate and glass to cool down.

Run fan for hours on end, and open windows to air out room on chilly October afternoon.

Serve with fork, scraper, anyhting solvent based.

ENJOY!
